Film Development

Black and White films are hand developed thereby ensuring quality and longevity thanks to a rigourous process and the use of premium Kodak chemicals. The process can be seen in the Udemy black and white development tutorials.

Colour photography is professionally developed at Rapid Eye Process for Kodak C-41 and Bayeux for Fuji E6 processing.

Scanning is expertly and carefully performed using the world class Nikon Coolscan 5000/9000 film scanners. Retouching is done through Silverfast, Lightroom and Photoshop software as viewed through Sony broadcast monitors.

All photographs in my portfolio are available for sale.

These Fine Art prints are available on museum-quality, acid-free archival paper using the very finest quality paper, for a combination of aesthetic perfection and ensured longevity. Top-of-the-range Epson printers and Epson UltraChrome ink are used in the process of creating prints. This combination produces one of the finest Giclée prints available. Wilhelm Research print permanence ratings are in excess of 200 years for colour prints and over 400 years for black and white prints by the current Epson Ultrachrome Pro inks. Prints framed with UV-absorbing acrylic and those displayed under LED illumination will achieve higher ratings.

Special order hand developed black and white darkroom prints can be created and delivered on request. Each print can be delivered on request in an acid-free wrap and we also supply a pair of cotton, museum gloves for further handling. You will also receive guidance on how best to preserve and protect your artwork, including recommendations for mounting and framing. Each print is delivered in an acid-free wrap.
